Fractal Sentience is the working archive of a research program on recursive dynamics, threshold behavior, measurement-layer evidence, and recursive becoming — papers, methods, diagrams, and the notes between them. Everything here is open access, versioned, and citable.
What the archive is for
The site exists to make the work easier to enter, inspect, and question — not to sell it. The framework is under active development, and the archive is built to show the evidence trail rather than hide it.
Materials are arranged by reader-entry path rather than strict chronology: consciousness and temporal integration, saturation and recursive systems, the ontology of recursive becoming, mathematical formalization, entropic asymmetry, and measurement-layer methodology. A reader can enter from whichever question brought them and follow the trail outward.
What began as a graduate thesis question evolved over decades into a working hypothesis: many of the patterns governing complex systems are not domain-specific, and some may be universal. Since 2024 the investigation has used LLM-assisted literature triage with manual review to map candidate cross-domain signatures — phase transitions, boundary reorganization, path dependence, hysteresis, and other directionality-adjacent markers — with cohorts and audited subsets reported per publication.
The work is speculative in its reach and disciplined in its bookkeeping. Those two things are not in tension here; keeping them distinct is the whole method.
Operating discipline
Theory development and measurement-layer audit work are kept separate. Across both, six registers stay visibly distinct:
- Established findings — results from the published record that hold independently of this framework, cited as their sources report them.
- Bounded evidence — results this work produced, valid within the stated cohort and rules, and not generalized beyond.
- Methodological results — findings about the instruments: what definitions, audit rules, and rater agreement show the method can support.
- Theoretical commitments — positions the framework adopts and argues from, held as commitments rather than empirical findings.
- Speculative extensions — reaches beyond current support, offered for pressure-testing and marked as speculation.
- Open questions — what remains unresolved: the frontiers where the next work should apply pressure.
A claim’s status travels with it. Where interpretation begins, the archive says so.
Publication status

Every paper is deposited on Zenodo, where each version carries a DOI and a fixed record. Several are collected in two curated Zenodo communities — Advanced Theoretical Physics and Mathematics and Theoretical Physics / Applied / Mathematical / Computational — which operate on expert curation and open, post-publication review.
The work’s standing rests on traceability. The measurement-layer papers tie every accepted marker to a specific passage in a specific source, report blinded multi-rater agreement, and publish reproducibility bundles with checksums so the counts can be recomputed independently. The claim is not “trust this.” The claim is “here is the evidence; check it.”
